CTS Sponsors and Will Present at IWATMD 2024

Ceramic slurry being processed

Main Content

On May 6 - 9, 2024, CTS will attend the annual 'International Workshop on Acoustic Transduction Materials and Devices' (IWATMD), held at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center in State College, Pennsylvania, US.

CTS is sponsoring the event which is arranged and hosted by the Materials Research Institute at Penn State University.

During IWATMD 2024, CTS will exhibit its product solutions in the field of acoustic transduction, which encompass numerous piezoelectric products and materials as well as a broad selection of passive components.

Company representatives are also scheduled to give two presentations, taking place on Thursday, May 9, as a part of the module "Ceramic Processing Including Templated Grain Growth":

Compositional Inhomogeneity in Textured Mn-Doped PMN-PT-PZ: Thin vs. Thick Cross-Sections (8:20 am, EST)

Thermal Characterization and Design of Transducers using Textured Ceramics (9:00 am, EST)

Both presentations will revolve around textured ceramics, a promising new piezoelectric material that approaches the superior sensitivity and energy conversion of piezoelectric single crystals while maintaining the machining and assembly ease of traditional piezoceramics.
