Initiatives at CTS

Utilizing renewable energy as a source for electricity.
Supporting energy conservation by using automated light switches and LED lights.
Recycling and reusing process water to reduce overall water consumption.
Utilizing wastewater treatment facilities to monitor pollutants and remove hazardous materials from processed water during the manufacturing processes.
Installing water bottle filling stations to reduce our generation of plastic waste and help conserve water.
Recycling whenever possible including hazardous waste.
Utilizing dust collection systems and air scrubbers to reduce the impact of our operations on air quality.
Offering shuttle services and promoting public transportation for employees to reduce carbon emissions.
Developing lead-free piezoceramic materials in conjunction with grant from Eurostars.

Environmental, Health, and Safety

Ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees is critical to creating a work environment that demonstrates the value we place in our employees and reinforces positive morale.
We measure the success of our EH&S programs by using the following key objectives:

Managing EHS risk and performance effectively, and actively seeking and acting upon meaningful opportunities to eliminate hazards and improve our EHS performance.
Ensuring compliance with all applicable EHS regulations and obligations within the areas where we operate.
Striving to involve personnel at every level within the organization in our EHS management system.
Educating, training, and motivating CTS employees to work in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
Continually working to improve our management systems, processes, and products to mitigate our environmental impacts and hazards and improve our EHS performance.

Nominating, Governance and Sustainability Committee

Reviews, evaluates, and consults with the Board regarding its ESG policies and initiatives, and advises the Board regarding such initiatives.
Reviews and makes recommendations to the Board concerning committee assignments and director nominees for election at the Annual Meeting of Shareholders and oversees director recruitment efforts.
Reviews and makes recommendations to the Board regarding CTS officers for election and succession, including succession planning for the Chief Executive Officer.
Updates and refines the Corporate Governance Guidelines for the approval of the Board and makes recommendations on matters of corporate governance.
